Library collections are currently made accessible with searches. Searches can be made by title, media, keywords, etc. The searches lead to results if the searcher knows what they want. 

The search is unsuitable for recommendations based on interests, moods or curiosity. The aim of ASK is to make the collections of libraries, archives and public institutions accessible via chats in natural language. 

With ASK, users talk to an AI bot about which eBook or piece of music matches their interests and current mood. We are developing a virtual library assistant that provides advice in all languages at any time of day or night, knows the entire, specific library collection – and responds to users’ needs.
