Whether you are eligible for our recommendation testbot depends on how well your infrastructure integrates with our current solution.

Interfaces for importing

If you are a client of Library Management Systems that we already have an integration with (Axiell, Datronic, aStec, Koha) or if you can provide an interface for Marc21 file exchange we can provide you with a chatbot. All other ILS will have to be evaluated. 

Pricing

The testbot will cost a cover charge of 180 € / 180 US$. It will allow you to test the bot internally for 2 months after its launch. The cover charge will be set off against the setup fee if you decide to continue working with the Bot. The sum will be invoiced after we have delivered the Bot. Depending on the size of your collection, your number of users and your interfaces / library management system it can be as low as 160 € or 160 US$ per month. 

Data delivery

Macr21 data should be delivered in .marc or .mrc format. For testing purposes, we limit the Marc21 records to 100MB.

For the bot to be able to provide the users with a link to the catalogue view for recommended entries, the URL for the full catalogue view of each entry needs to be known. Preferably, that URL should be included for every entry in the field 865 “electronic location and access”. Alternatively, please specify how URLs for catalogue view should be constructed by other attributes in the “message” field of the form.

You have 3 options to deliver Marc21 file to us:

• In .zip format via the form below – please, archive only .marc or .mrc file 
• By requesting a link to upload the file that you will receive via email upon submission of the form
• Via WeTransfer or other computer file transfer service of your choice to e-mail address info@aboutsomethink.org

Once the Bot has been set up, you will receive a PW/Login to this page: https://demo.aboutsomethink.org

Your bot will contain your data and your data alone. It can be shared internally for testing purposes with anyone who needs to test. If usage goes beyond what is necessary for testing we reserve the right to limit the number of conversations with the bot.
